Last February I got it tuned by Justin at a group meet up in Houston. It has a 6 inch lift with 35' Nitto Trail Grappler tires on it. Turned the engine off and went inside. My truck is sitting in my driveway now. We had the same stabilitrak lights and power reduction warning. Please submit your information to for review. I thought maybe she just hit the traction control button by mistake.
And thinking the lights have to do with the different size tires when had to use spire tire. After moving from a complete stop, The truck makes a very hard shift into 2nd gear whlie the traction light is on. Im assuming it is an internal engine problem again. Anybody know about a tsb or anything like that. Ok well fix it right yeah right! I like the look of the truck but come on… Let me know if I have any recourse, outside of just trading it in for a Tacoma. Not my first Chevy, but definitely the one that has given me the most headaches. Two weeks after that my battery died.
I have all the service invoices. The solution was to clean up the corrosion and reinstall the sensor. The vehicle may have a traction. A wrench beside it tells it requires servicing. Had you filed within the statute of limitations, you would have most likely received thousands back under breach of warranty.
Happened in a parking lot twice. They blamed the exhaust issue on the stabilitrak issue. During our heavy snowseason when driving through heavy snow my Stabilitrak lights were on. So much for my dream car…I was not unhappy to see it go. The invoices from the previous dealer visits, the print out from Onstar. This is the second issue I have had with it as they already replaced a throttle sensor around 10,000 miles. I just joined this community and will continue looking around.
I really would like my money back. The mechanic recommended we get rid of the car! Got it home and back in the garage. I asked them to bypass the connector and splice the harness together. I set everything else back to stock. Panicking I pulled closest to off the road as possible with no steering or brakes and limited power. Form the sensus above, it seems that the throttle body is the most common fix for this problem?? Lights and radio work but nothing else.
!!!!! Arctictwist said he had the same problems when the winter storm hit and the problem was a bad wheel hub. Oct 19, 2010 Hi: Your vehicle has a dual brake system, and the light usually indicates that one system has failed. It happened to me 8 times in a span of 15 miles this morning on my way to work. Brought it in today, couldnt find a problem, no codes even though the light was on when I drove to the dealer this morning. One of those times, having the steering wheel ripped from my hands almost caused me to hit a dumpster that was next to the parking spot I was trying to pull into. I need some expert advice on this.
I also thought was just a cold weather problem as that is when it always seemed to happen. Dealer missed a bulletin to fix brake position sensor. I hardly drive it and it is garage kept. They will stiffen a bit and work better but they will never be awesome brakes. Two days later stabilitrak light comes back on. So far it seems to be working. Sometimes the wheel bearing problem is hard to locate.
I immediately contacted by service manager at the car dealer where I purchased and explained what had just happened. And bam they came on grrrr I just bought it! They are placing a new bps and well see what happens. I pulled over, inspected the truck, everything looked ok. This morning I was going about 60mph and seconds to get to the shoulder when the engine powered down. And also seems like no one knows how to fix this problem. Picked it up a week later….
My car then proceded to slow down tremendously and started kind of grumbling, I had to call TripleA. Traction control activates when the controller senses wheel spin. Taking the vehicle back to the dealer in the morning. Has anybody else had this problem?? Wish I had my old one back. My next question would be why if so many people are having this problem I have seen it in forums all over why is there not a recall? It also happen while driving, usually during coasting situations while going down hills.
