It gets good gas mileage and has been low maintenance overall. I have had poor dealers and some that could take the same problem and have me out in minutes. It has been nice that the dealer has been helpful with these issues, however I have been making trips and phone calls over and over to the dealership.
Turbo failures happen, usually they start sending oil into combustion. IĀ can fold down the seats and pack so much in there. I still own it because the resale value for the car dropped so dramatically and so quickly after I purchased it see Consumer Report , that it made sense to me to try to get as many miles out of if as I could. I've been reading the other complaints and my guess is I will have to replace some shaft sensor. And I have been calling around me to see if a shop would look at it. By the way, not all Saabs are junk.

With no more metal fuel tanks or gas station tanks, there generally is much less to filter. The best guy I could find said it would probably cost me a couple hundred just to look at it.

Most annoying car I have ever owned! He also said I had an actual Saab engine and it should last me about 300,000 miles. Because they wanted to make it perfect! I took it in and apparently the throttle position sensor needs to be replaced. Power steering pump leaking - on warranty - fixed. I can clearly tell the most of you are Americans. It should pop right up to 50 or 60psi when cranking.
Today it just cranks and cranks but will not start. Were major improvements made to the 2008-9 model over and above the 2006-7? When I bought it, it only had 22,000 miles and 3 months later, it was in the shop for a sensor. We are working on a kit that will have all the parts you need to drop the head off at the local machine shop. Loud noise from shocks over bumps. The issue is related to a sensor on the fuel pump which is prone to failure, resulting in a lost signal and an empty fuel reading. Take a look at your spark plugs, you can learn a lot about how the engine is running by seeing what the spark plugs look like.
But it's a lot of small things that makes me angry about this car. Remove the housing, clean the surfaces with rubbing alcohol, reseal with silicone caulk.
