My wife and I have both iPhone4 and both work. Everything on the dash lights up, but there's no sound of an engine starting, only silence. The only question that I had was about the key being on while removing the panels the gearshift lever should be in neutral for easy removal, therefore the key had to be on to move the lever out of Park. Installation was real easy as this is a plug and play setup and took about an hour, and only tools required were a 10 mm socket with extension, a couple of zip ties to hang the converter against the frame behind radio, and I have a magnetic rod that I needed to grab a stray bolt or two back out of the black hole after I dropped them, they have designed it to work flawlessly with the factory radio. Most conspicuously, it did without Lexus's fifth-generation navigation unit, which so impressed us in the. Perhaps more annoying, the switch that moves the outside mirrors is positioned such that, when drivers get the seat positioned in a comfortable position, many can't reach the mirror switch without leaning forward in the seat. And there are no ugly wires or gadgets hanging anywhere! Installed the second unit in 25 minutes. Other thing is that the under steering panel in the video in my car did not pull down — there are air-bags there, but I took my time and fished the mic wire up around other wires. The video made it look easy and it was.

Thus, they have to lean, adjust the mirrors and then lean back to check the mirrors from the position they'll take while driving. For the 4 bolts holding the stereo, the top ones are indeed tricky to get to as the video says. It took about 40 min to install with no problems. If installing Bluetooth Extension sold separately - microphone has to be wired as close to the driver's mouth as possible preferably to A-pillar. The front seats are positioned off the floor at a comfortable chair height and are snug and supportive.
There are good instructions on the Pro. Removal of the radio is reasonably easy with the right tools. Probably can be done in 20 mins or so if you want. Metra 70-8113 harness appears to work. I am using an iPod Touch 3rd Generation and I really appreciate being able to control my iPod via the actual audio system controls or with the audio controls on my steering wheel. It probably took me about 2 hours in total, with more than half of that spent running the cables into my glovebox and putting things back together. This so-called crossover is impressively smooth, comfortable, responsive in all driving situations and flexible when it comes to hauling people or cargo. However, there are exceptions to this: The trip odometer can be hard to read. The 400h is impressively quick, particularly when overtaking a slower vehicle between 30 and 60 mph. It took a few minutes of trying to feed a wiggly cable before I got smart and took a long dowel, pushed it down through the space to the opening in the footwell, and taped the cable from the iPod to the end of the dowel.
No wiring harness info - spend more money on All-Data to get even more mixed up. Saved who knows how much money by installing it myself. I hope they put their trust to your product as i put my trust. This seems to nudge the iPhone. Thank you, I highly recommend their products.

The current Lexus package includes voice activation, Bluetooth interface with compatible cellular phones and impressive shadowed graphics. Not that it is necessarily the best Bluetooth kit, but both Lexus and Toyota dealers in the U. I will definitely spread the words to my family and friends and co-workers. Just like at least one other said, I dropped the upper bolts and lost them, but the stereo is still in firmly with the lower ones.
