Is it off a track or something? Roof will go all the way back to open but will not close again unless you go through the full initialisation process. You should be able to see where the sunroof lifter block is broken if it is the lifter, or the lever if it is the lever bracket. Everything I have read has been very vague. I have been able to unsnap it but there are two arms attached to a bar in the rear side that doesn't allow me to take it apart. The sunshade will only slide back about 3 inches and stops.
